Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the US. She is the owner and director of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss was born in California and grew up an heir to a prestigious family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and was later a part owner of the Lakers as well as various other sports organizations. After her parents split up in 1972 she felt that they'd abandoned her. As she turned 19 old, she began working for the family's business as general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. Prior to becoming vice-president of the Lakers in 2013, she was president of Great Western Forum. Buss her father passed away in 2013 as did the Lakers were passed down by her as well as five of her siblings via a trust. Each of the siblings had an equal number of votes. She assumed her duties as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also owns Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with the headquarters located within Los Angeles.
