Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest child of singer Dionne Warswick, and gospel music star Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew up in a family that was musical. The follow-up album released in 1987 Whitney which included the hits What Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built on her success but it was 1992's film The Bodyguard (1992) that established her as one of the best-selling artists ever. The Bodyguard's performance as a film as well as its soundtrack weren't well-received but her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as The Bodyguard album that accompanied it topped charts across the world for months. That same year she married the former New Edition singer Bobby Brown with whom she has a single child Bobbi Kristina Brown in March 1993.
