April Ross
April Ross is one of just a handful of female beach volleyball stars to capture medals at multiple Olympics. Ross will compete in Tokyo to compete for her third Olympic medal with Alix Klineman, a first-time Olympian. Ross is hoping to secure an Olympic first gold medal, but she is also aiming for more. In fact, at 39, it could be her last opportunity to accomplish this. But she's still convinced of winning top awards. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we try our best, and even playing well I believe we can get the gold medal." In addition, I'm planning to rely on a bit of good luck. Ross was born in California, Costa Mesa in the year 1982. Her parents and her sister were residents in the area. Ross went on to play in a myriad of activities during her time at Newport Harbor High School. She was a basketball player and also ran track in addition to her volleyball skills in the indoors as a prep athlete. She clearly was the top in the game of indoor volleyball. According to her bio, she played a middle blocker and outside hitting volleyball player during her high-school career. She was awarded the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the Year in 1999, for her performance. She also won her the Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman began their partnership in 2017, but Ross was a beach scene player for years prior to. It's true that she's had numerous big wins and one partner was a volleyball superstar. In the period 2007 to 2013 she teamed together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently played the role of Klineman's coach. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be a formidable force in the international circuit, winning the 2009 World Championship with each other. They went on to win a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. The legendary Misty Maytreanor team along with Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. Both went on to win the bronze beach volleyball trophy at the Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross was a student athlete with the Trojans of USC prior to the start of her professional career. She played during high school, as well as years prior to hitting the beaches as a professional. And her run at USC was one to remember. When she was a freshman in 2000 Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman-of-the-Year honors. She also helped her Trojans to make it to the Final Four. She endured a great personal loss in her sophomore, but was still capable of achieving the All-American title. Over the course of her final two seasons she led the Trojans to the top of the mountain and won consecutive national titles. She was a great player on the court, and was awarded the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the most outstanding female volleyball player at the college level. Ross who was a USC international relations major, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross never saw her daughter make it to the top of the beach volleyball ladder. Ross's mom passed away due to cancer of the breast when she was a sophomore in USC. However, she continues to remember her deceased parent close and dear. Also, Margie remains a source of motivation for her at the beaches and throughout the world of.
