Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father and mother also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. Ryder moved together with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. They didn't have electricity. Ryder, who read a lot when she was 12 years old, became a reader since Ryder was not able to access television. Ryder was 12 when she took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. In 1986 she landed her first major-screen appearance in the film Lucas she was only fifteen years old. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her acting career, she hoped to help, could have helped her. Sadly that didn't happen. Still she continued pursuing her dream. Her big break occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder had a successful role in numerous films. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her role in The Age of Innocence (1993).
